
Basil Walnut Pesto

- 1 Food Processor
Ingredients
- 2 Cups Vertical Roots Basil (leaves removed)
- 1/2 Cup Chopped Walnuts
- 2 Cloves Garlic - peeled and smashed
- 1 tbsp Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
- 1/2 Cup Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 1/2 Cup Olive Oil
- 1 tsp Cracked Pepper / Course Salt
Instructions
- Place all ingredients into the food processor and start on low, moving to high once blended and blend until smooth.
- Adjust the smoothness and flavor to your liking. Add more olive oil to create a smooth pesto, lessen the oil if you like a more rustic pesto.
- Use as a marinate on chicken or shrimp, toss with your favorite fresh pasta or use as the base for your next home made pizza night!
