Basil Walnut Pesto

Equipment

  • 1 Food Processor

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Cups Vertical Roots Basil (leaves removed)
  • 1/2 Cup Chopped Walnuts
  • 2 Cloves Garlic - peeled and smashed
  • 1 tbsp Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 Cup Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1/2 Cup Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Cracked Pepper / Course Salt

Instructions
 

  • Place all ingredients into the food processor and start on low, moving to high once blended and blend until smooth.
  • Adjust the smoothness and flavor to your liking. Add more olive oil to create a smooth pesto, lessen the oil if you like a more rustic pesto.
  • Use as a marinate on chicken or shrimp, toss with your favorite fresh pasta or use as the base for your next home made pizza night!
