Basil Walnut Pesto

- 2 Cups Vertical Roots Basil (leaves removed)
- 1/2 Cup Chopped Walnuts
- 2 Cloves Garlic - peeled and smashed
- 1 tbsp Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
- 1/2 Cup Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 1/2 Cup Olive Oil
- 1 tsp Cracked Pepper / Course Salt
Place all ingredients into the food processor and start on low, moving to high once blended and blend until smooth.
Adjust the smoothness and flavor to your liking. Add more olive oil to create a smooth pesto, lessen the oil if you like a more rustic pesto.
Use as a marinate on chicken or shrimp, toss with your favorite fresh pasta or use as the base for your next home made pizza night!
